InterAct Stroke Support seeks a freelance Administrator to support the Chief Executive at our office.
Fee: £90 per day
3 days a week (50 weeks per year) – flexible hours and days
Based at Victoria Charity Centre, London, SW1V 1RB.
InterAct Stroke Support is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting stroke recovery by taking professional actors into hospitals and stroke clubs to deliver live, interactive readings & projects to stroke survivors.
We are looking for:
Previous professional experience working in an administrative role, preferably within an arts and/or charity environment.
Fundraising experience, specifically in the corporate sector. Ideal but not essential..
Excellent practical organisational skills.
Strong time management skills and motivation.
Excellent IT skills - Word Processing, Excel, Databases, Outlook, Web and Social Media.
Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people.
Experience of budget and/or accounts management.
Previous marketing or PR experience desirable.
The role will include:
Being the first point of contact for telephone and email communications.
Efficiently liaising with InterAct’s team leaders, stroke club co-ordinator and actors on all issues.
Correlating data on outcomes and evaluations from the hospital readings and stroke club sessions.
Producing and paying monthly invoices.
Recording all financial payments, carrying out monthly bank reconciliations, and preparing the annual accounts for the external examiners.
Working alongside the Chief Executive and Fundraiser to implement strategic development plans, and making some fundraising appeals.
Providing administrative support and office management for all aspects of InterAct’s work.
Administrating InterAct’s biennial short story competition.
Coordinating training days, including travel and accommodation.
Administering and planning events.
Developing and administrating InterAct’s marketing strategy, in print and online.
Maintaining InterAct’s website and various social media sites.
Recording minutes at meetings.
Maintaining various databases
Administrating CRB checks
Other tasks, as necessary
