As featured on BBC R4: We challenge you to submit an original story consisting of just 25 words - any subject, any style, whatever inspires you! The best 25 submissions will be judged by Dame Margaret Drabble and performed by leading actors including Bill Paterson, Rula Lenska and others to be announced soon!

The shortlisted 25 entrants - and Margaret Drabble’s selected winner - will be announced live, before being read during our event. A video will later be uploaded to our YouTube channel for those who can't make it.
