InterAct are proud to introduce InterAct at Home, a reading service delivered to stroke survivors online or over the phone.
​
Stroke survivors can choose between one-to-one reading sessions with an actor of your choice, or group readings delivered regularly to virtual stroke clubs. ​​
Everything you need to know
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We have a pool of fantastic professionally trained actors ready to offer reading sessions to you or your group. When you make an online booking, simply pick a time, date and actor. You can tell us about any special interests or preferences: and you’ll find us very flexible!
If you’re a regular user of our service, we highly recommend that you choose different actors for your sessions – most users appreciate the variety our actors offer!
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Your chosen actor will call at your agreed time by your preferred choice of either phone or video-call. The actor will spend up to 30 minutes with you (or up to 60 minutes if you are part of a group booking). They will read a variety of material to you, a mix of short stories and poems, and engage with you throughout the session
WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU OFFER?
We currently offer sessions in English or Welsh

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

InterAct are proud to offer up to two readings per week free of charge.
If you would like more than two sessions per week we ask for a small fee to cover the charity's expenses for delivering the sessions. Please email admin@interactstroke.org to arrange extra sessions.
