InterAct Isolation Readings - Kirsty Cox
This evening, another fantastic Roald Dahl short story called 'Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's Coat', read to us by Kirsty Cox.

We are always trying to think up new ways to support you through this period. At the moment we are working on a new project, 'InterAct at Home', where actors will video call you at home and read to you one-on-one or in a group 'stroke club' setting. I love that you're reading Roald Dahl's 'Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's Coat' — that story's twist ending is still one of my favorites, and Kirsty Cox is a brilliant choice to narrate it. The one-on-one video call idea is the strongest part of this. A recorded reading is lovely, but being read to at home by someone who responds to you is a different kind of company entirely. Kirsty Cox handles the Dahl pacing really well. It also reminded me how much timing carries a performance, something I keep noticing on Choicer Voicer, and why trained actors matter for this project.
